Superstar Rajinikanth starrer 2.0’s teaser is finally out. After starring in the critically acclaimed Kaala, Rajinikanth is all set to grace the big screen again, this time in Shankar’s highly-anticipated VFX spectacle 2.0. The movie also stars Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in a pivotal role. The actor will be seen playing Dr Richard, aka Crow Man in the film. After having seen several delays due to various reasons, 2.0 is expected to release in November 2018.

The Hindi version of the movie will be presented by filmmaker Karan Johar.

But her mother Sailaja Reddy (Ramya Krishnan) becomes an obstacle for them. How Chaitu wins his love forms the crux of the story.

Analysis: Shailaja Reddy Alludu brings back Telugu dramas from the '90s and early 2000s that dealt with a confrontation between mother-in-law and son-in-law. But Maruthi Dasari's magic touch to this routine story makes it a good family entertainer. The comedy episodes are the highlights of the movie, say the viewers.

Performances: Naga Chaitanya has delivered good performance, which is the highlight of Shailaja Reddy Alludu. Ramya Krishnan's acting is the next big attraction. Anu Emmanuel has done a good job and her chemistry with the hero is one of the highlights. Vennela Kishore, Naresh, Murali Sharma and Prudhvi Raj have also done justice to their roles and they are assets of the film, says the audience.

Vicky Kaushal, who will be seen in a grungy look in Manmarziyan this Friday, says he got an opportunity to unleash himself in the film.  

Co-starring with Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, Vicky will appear in the film with his hair dyed blue, earrings and tattoos on his body. This is the first time that the actor experimented with his looks.   

“My roles in Masaan or Raazi were that of a simple boy whereas in Sanju I changed my look. This is the first time that I will be sporting designer clothes and have spiked my h air for the film. I got an opportunity to live as somebody else. I can’t do that in Mumbai but I got an opportunity to unleash myself. I became monstrous. This is how most of the Punjabi youths dress up in Punjab. My cousins in Punjab felt that I was very subtle. They were suggesting something more,” he laughs.

अभिनेता अर्जुन रामपाल पिछले कई सालों से लगातार असफल फिल्मों से जूझ रहे हैं। साल 2010 में प्रकाश झा की मल्टीस्टारर फिल्म 'राजनीति' के बाद अर्जुन की एक दर्जन से ज्यादा फिल्में फ्लॉप रही हैं। 'रॉकऑन 2' और 'कहानी 2' जैसी हिट फिल्मों का दूसरा पार्ट भी लोगों को लुभा नहीं पाया। 

पिछले कई सालों में तो अर्जुन ने बहुत ही कम फिल्मों में काम किया, लेकिन कम काम करने का भी उनका यह फॉर्मूला काम नहीं आया। इन दिनों अपनी रिलीज़ के लिए तैयार फिल्म 'पलटन' के प्रमोशन में जुटे अर्जुन ने बताया कि उनके पास फिल्मों की कमी नहीं है। उन्होंने हाल ही में 4 फिल्में साइन की हैं। 

अर्जुन ने बताया, 'मेरा फिल्मों में कम काम करना इसलिए कम हो गया क्योंकि मेरी पसंद की कहानियां मुझे नहीं मिल रही थीं। इस साल पलटन के बाद मैंने चार फिल्में साइन कर ली हैं। कभी-कभी ऐसा होता है कि अपनी पसंद की फिल्में आपके पास आ जाती हैं। बीच में मेरी मां की तबियत भी नहीं ठीक थी इस वजह से भी मैं आराम से काम करना चाहता था। मैं अभी उन चार फिल्मों के नाम और डायरेक्टर के बारे में बात नहीं कर सकता हूं, लेकिन यह जरूर बता सकता हूं कि उनमें से एक फिल्म हॉरर है, दूसरी एक बायॉपिक है, तीसरी थ्रिलर फिल्म है और चौथी फिल्म फैंटसी है। इस सभी फिल्मों में बहुत सारी कॉमिडी भी होगी।' 

'पलटन' में अर्जुन एक बेहद महत्वपूर्ण कर्नल की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। अर्जुन के अलावा फिल्म में सोनू सूद, गुरमीत चौधरी, हर्षवर्धन राणे, लव सिन्हा, जैकी श्रॉफ, अभिलाष चौधरी, ईशा गुप्ता, सोनल चौहान, दीपिका कक्कड़ और सिद्धांत कपूर अहम भूमिकाओं में हैं। यह फिल्म 7 सितंबर को देशभर के सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज़ होगी। इस फिल्म का निर्देशन जे पी दत्ता ने किया है। फिल्म को संगीत से सजाया है अनु मलिक ने।

Analysis: Aatagallu deals with an outdated, boring murder mystery that tests the patience of the film-goers from the beginning till end. Even Brahmanandam's comedy fails to save this movie, say the audience.

Performances: Nara Rohith and Jagapati Babu have delivered wonderful performances, which are the highlights of Aatagallu. Darshana Banik has done a good job and her chemistry with the hero is also good. Subba Raju, Brahmanandam, Sri tej, Jeeva, Tulasi and Priya have done justice to their roles, say the viewers.

Technical: Aatagallu has good production values, picturization and background score. The action choreography and dialogues are the main highlights on the technical front, add the viewers.

Kalari is an unfortunate mess of a movie, from actor Krishna who seems to be struggling to pick the right scripts and directors. The film is a perfect material for mega TV serial but sadly director Kiran Chand has made into a feature film.

Kalari is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film directed by Kiran Chand and produced by Senith Keloth under the Nakshathra Movie Magic banner. The film features Krishna and Vidya Pradeep in the lead roles, while Jayaprakash plays a pivotal role.

Kalari review:Watch it strictly at your own risk

Murgesh (Krishna) is a departmental store owner and his biggest dream is to find a suitable match for his sister Thenmozhi (Samyuktha). But Thenmozhi is in love with Anwar (Anwar), a taxi driver who works for a pimp. The major hurdle for Thenmozhi’s marriage is her drunkard dad (MS Bakkar) who gives his word to another guy, the right hand of local bigwig Siddique (Jayaprakash).

Murgesh has a rare medical condition Agoraphobia, an anxiety disorder that he can’t boldly take any decisions. An unhappy Thenmozhi commits suicide. Now Murgesh should find the culprits who destroyed the life of his sister!!

As said earlier, the film’s story is very old and the melodramatic execution only tests our patience. All the actors are too loud that the whole film only gives us a mega serial watching experience. Vidya Pradeep, Krishna’s pair in the film is a prop and has nothing to do!

Just because the director got a twist in the climax, he can’t take audiences for granted with loud execution and age-old sentimental sequences. From the beginning, Anwar has been shown as some guy who wants to trap Thenmozhi for lust and all of a sudden, we are told that he is actually a good guy for the twists and turns is unbelievable.

Even the music is too jarring just like how the composers play in TV serials. Nothing much to rave about the cinematography either, the intro portion narrating how Tamils settle in Cochin is informative and interesting, which is the only positive aspect in the film.

Overall, Kalari is an exhausting family drama with a convoluted screenplay and melodramatic execution. As you leave the hall exhausted from the sheer length of this misguided enterprise, you cannot help but note that despite its many flaws, this is a noble failure.

New Delhi: It seems like the national holiday has paid off for both Bollywood releases this year with Akshay Kumar’s Gold and John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate together bringing in more than Rs 40 crore in net box office collections, besides the highest opening day figures for the two lead actors individually. While Kumar’s sports biopic has collected about Rs 26 crore at the domestic box office with 3,050 screens, Abraham’s action drama has managed Rs 16-17 crore with 2,500 screens, according to trade website Box Office India. The two films have together beaten the highest opening day record in the Hindi film circuit, so far held by the Rs 40 crore net collections of one film, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

Reema Kagti's sports drama Gold has struck gold at the box office and overtaken Singh Is Bliing (which earned Rs 20.67 crore on its first day) to become Akshay Kumar's highest opening film ever.

Hordes of Akshay Kumar's fans flocked to the theatres to watch his Independence Day release, and Gold raked in Rs 25.25 crore on the day of its release.

Gold revolves around independent India's first Olympic gold win - a feat achieved by the Indian men's hockey team in 1948 at the 14th London Olympiad. Akshay essays the role of the manager of the team, Tapan Das.

Geetha Govindam Story: Vijay Govind (Vijay Deverakonda), a young college lecturer who dreams of marriage falls for Geetha (Rashmika Mandanna), a level-headed woman who's wary of strangers and isn't easy to convince. While things seem to go smoothly, Vijay makes a terrible mistake which not only derails any hope for his love story, but also potential repercussions with his family.

Geetha Govindam Review: As easy as it sounds to make a rom-com, we've often seen filmmakers try and fail when it comes to successfully executing a "breezy entertainer" in Tollywood. Director Parasuram, however, gets it right with Geetha Govindam. His casting is spot on, writing impressive and pace of the film is just about right. With an adorable looking lead pair and some great music, Geetha Govindam is thoroughly entertaining. We are introduced to Vijay Govind (Vijay Deverakonda), a college lecturer, who dreams of getting married and settling down with a woman. He's a typical youngster who likes to drink and goof around with his buddies but the only thing on his mind is marriage. While on his quest to find a girl, he runs into Geetha (Rashmika Mandanna). He likes her immediately, but she remains cold and distant as they go on a bus journey together. As soon as she starts warming up to him, he makes a big mistake, that not only derails his entire love story but could also potentially impact his relationship with his father (Naga Babu) and soon to be brother-in-law (Subba Raju).
